I'm Amalia Fowler, people manager and the creator of The Wholehearted Manager community. I started my career as a subject matter expert in digital marketing and soon found myself thrown into the world of management. As someone who leads from the heart and finds it impossible to leave her emotions at the door, the transition from subject matter expert (SME) to manager was well, rocky. Now, almost a decade into management with a 100% retention rate of people that I've hired, I want to share what I've learned with others.
